Nirupa Narayen Couacaud
Nirupa worked as General Counsel to the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius and as a Consultant in AML/CFT at the Financial Intelligence Unit of Mauritius. Her career spans over two decades and includes having held senior compliance roles in leading international law firms in London. Nirupa is admitted to the Bar of England and Wales since 2001 as well as being admitted to the Bar of Mauritius since 2003. While in practice she has also led litigation for the Financial Services Commission and conducted litigation before all courts of law as a State Counsel in Mauritius.
Varnee Patten
Barrister at Law in Mauritius and Admitted as Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand, Varnee has a rich career as Corporate Lawyer in the financial sector in Mauritius for over 15 years. She has also been a lecturer in law for the past decade. She is currently the founder and Head of VPR Chambers since 2024.
Nityesh P.Peetumber
Nityesh P. Peetumber is a Mauritius-based Barrister at Law (Inner Temple), commercial Mediator and International Trade Specialist. He holds a DSJ and two LLMs in international business law, trade, and dispute resolution. Mr. Peetumber has over 10 years practised in Mauritius as. He has worked extensively on drafting the various manuals required as well as the PPM and supplementals as required, and has also acted as approved compliance officer for several funds and investment schemes.
